Are you fed up with constant increases in your property taxes?

Are you fed up with underfunded schools?

Are you fed up with overbloated payrolls for the "big wigs" (and more cuts in services?)

I AM, AND THAT IS WHY I AM RUNNING FOR COMMISSIONER OF THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF REVIEW

Here is my pledge:

I will demand lower property taxes for residents.

I will work for fairness and equity in our schools.

I will make sure that the large corporations pay their fair share and not allow the budgets to be balanced

on the backs of Cook County residents.

I will ask all our elected officials to hold the line on spending, cut or freeze their own payroll and spending...and I will start with me.  If elected :

I WILL GIVE  40% OF MY SALARY AS COOK COUNTY COMMISSION BACK TO OUR SCHOOLS!*

This is my way to give back to our kids, and send a message to the higher ups--its time that we look to the elected leaders to lead by example, and to make the necessary personal sacrifices so that we can put first things first:

What does it mean to "put first things first": I mean, lets first educate our kids, take care of our neighborhoods,  and pay our nurses, LPN's and our middle and lower income workers before lining the pockets of the "big wigs" in the government.

We need a change in the way we govern, a change in the way we think, and we need to stop spending, start saving and cut the fat out of our budgets.

But agreeing to take a "pay cut" and asking for every one of our leaders to also take a pay cut is going to cause a storm. The "Big Wigs" who have lined their pockets for so long, don't support me,  are going to work against me and certainly don't want me to win!   Why?  because if I lead by example and cut my own salary, this puts them against the wall.

Voters, these are not just campaign slogans, they serve as my pledge to you. Lets right this ship, and give County Government back to the voters--lets create reform within the party.

But to "REFORM" our government I need help,  I need you to have me over to talk with your neighbors, I need your commitment, and I need your vote.

(* But I won't just give it to the bureaucracies, I will make sure the money is spent on books, direct services and for the most in need)
